Spring Bunny Pattern (Copy)
If using the materials suggested here, the finished size of the Spring Bunny is approximately 15 inches tall. If creating this plush for a child it is recommended that you use embroidery floss for the facial features, rather than a safety nose and eyes.
Materials
Hook K (6.5mm)
Super Bulky Chenille Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Sweet Snuggles Lite)
Polyfill stuffing
10mm safety eyes
Needle

Legs (Make 2)
With main color.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: (1sc, inc)*3 (9)
Round 3: 9 sc (9)
Change yarn to jumpsuit color.
Round 4-5: 9 sc
Fasten off and weave in the tail.
Make a second leg in the same way as the first, but do not cut yarn or fasten off, continue to make the body.
Body
Continuing with jumpsuit color.
Round 6: Chain 3 and join to first leg using a sl st. Crochet around both legs and joining chain, 9 sc, 3 sc in chain, 9 sc, 3 sc in chain (24)
Round 7-11: 24 sc
Begin firmly stuffing the body.
Round 12: (2sc, dec)*6 (18)
Round 13-14: 18 sc
Round 15: (1sc, dec)*6 (12)
Round 16-17: 12 sc
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing
Head
With main color.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 6 inc (12)

Round 5-7: 24 sc
Begin stuffing the head.
Round 8: 30 sc
Insert safety eyes between Rounds 7 and 8.
Round 9: 5 sc, inc next 3 st, 8 sc, inc next 3 st, 5 sc (30)
Insert safety nose between Rounds 8 and 9. Alternately, you can embroider the nose.
Round 10-11: 30 sc
Round 12: (3sc, dec)*6 (24)
Round 13: (2sc, dec)*6 (18)
Round 14: (1sc, dec)*6 (12)
Round 15: (dec)*6 (6)
Fasten off and close hole with tail.
Ears (Make 2)
With main color, do not stuff.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 6 sc (6)

Round 6-11: 15 sc
Round 12: (3sc, dec)*3 (12)
Fold the ear in half, sl st to close the opening, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Arms (2 pieces):
With main color
Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 5sc, inc (7)
Loosely stuff the end of the arm.
Round 3-4: 7 sc
Round 5: 5 sc, dec (6)
Round 6-8: 6 sc
Sl st to close the opening, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Optional Collar
With jumpsuit color, ch 17.
Dc in second chain from hook.
2 dc in each chain until the end (30)
Assembly
Sew arms to the top of the body at the shoulder points.
Sew the ears to the top of the head, betweens rounds 3-4.You can choose to have the ears stand upright, or position them downward for a floppy eared rabbit.
Sew the head to the top of the body.
If you made a collar, wrap it around the neck, and sew closed in the back.
Additional Decorations:
You can add blush to the cheeks by using a light pink permanent marker.
You may choose to embroider eyebrows or eyelashes.
You may also choose to add buttons to the front of the jumper.
